Code mandates for data center operations

June 24, 2014/in Operations/by Matt Stansberry

Data center operations and management are increasingly the target of codes that impact safety, communications, and economic systems. Going well beyond the guidelines laid out by NFPA 75 and 76, the new 2011 National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) actually provides for regulatory oversight of mission-critical facility management. This video will provide a history of codes as they apply to data centers, and a strategy for answering and implementing code provisions to avoid problems with inspectors.

This video, shot at Uptime Institute Symposium 2013, features Richard L Sawyer, Global Strategist, HP Critical Facilities Services.
